Traditional 2 Bay Post and Beam Carriage House / Car Port

Specifications:

  • 150mm x 150mm Timber Square Posts (finish of choice - sawn or planed at extra cost)
  • 100mm x 220mm Timber Beams(finish of choice - sawn or planed at extra cost)
  • 75mm x 175mm Timber Corner Braces(finish of choice - sawn or planed at extra cost)
  • Softwood cladding, sawn finish Cut Rafter or Truss Roof (Dependant on design)
  • 9mm OSB3 roof sarking boarding with breather membrane over
  • 25mm x 38mm softwood counter battens ready for tile and battens
  • Each timber post has a height adjustable metal post base & anchor bolts supplied (for unlevel base levelling)
  • All posts, beams, braces and cladding timber is supplied untreated, ready to receive wood preservative or other treatment.
  • Softwood studwork framing & roofing timbers are all pressure treated with Protim E406 UC2

Ther are many different roof style options for the twin carport that we can offer-

  • Hipped roof, Low pitch, Ridge = 3393mm - 3443mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
  • Hipped roof, High pitch, Ridge = 4143mm - 4193mm
  • Front gable roof, Low pitch, Ridge = 3393mm - 3443mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
  • Front gable roof, High pitch, Ridge = 4143mm - 4193mm
  • Side gable roof, Low pitch, Ridge = 3930mm - 3989mm (planning compliant if more than 2m from a boundary)
  • Side gable roof, High pitch, Ridge = 5293mm - 5343mm
  • Barn end roof, High pitch, Ridge = 4143mm - 4193mm

Carports with a ridge lower than 4m don't generally require planning if more than 2m from a boundary.
